The year is 1958 ...way back in bay area history. Director Alfred Hitchcock brought us a thriller featuring an ex-police officer who suffers from an intense fear of heights, hired to prevent an old friend's wife from committing suicide. As with all Hitchcock classics ...all is not as it seems. Hitchcock's haunting, compelling masterpiece is uniquely revelatory about the director's own predilections and hang-ups and is widely considered to be one of his masterworks.

Kate Novak as the troubled leading ladies ghost... |
A strange combination of fascination and repulsion; gorgeous cinematography vs. garish lighting. The innocent lead character Stewart vs himself the deranged lead character changes from scene to scene. The Leading Lady Novak is the symbol of classic beauty yet really just a vulgar shop girl. This classic is one of my favorites and a rollercoaster ride of Hitchcock proportions.
So now that you have the history you can see why I was immediately drawn to this local for the Fall Winter Gatecrasher themed collection shoot. Gothic molding, 20 ft ceilings and that iconic stairwell. My Imagination was running wild with possibilities for this shoot.
